About

Hello everyone, this is Neil, founder and editor of Moments In The Sky

Background

For nearly thirty years Neil has been fascinated with the wonderful world of travel.  Neil loves planes, trains, hotels, boats and even test driving cars - if it moves, he'll vlog it!

As a leading writer and video producer of the Canary Islands, most months you can find Neil in the Canary Islands, using Tenerife as a base.  Check out his blog posts if you're looking for places to visit whilst here!

It all started way back as a young corporate 'go-getter' in the 90's when Neil's (then) employer decided to send him on a business trip to Belgium.  On that trip, his boss told him to join the British Midland (former UK business focussed airline) Diamond Club frequent traveller scheme.  From that point on, he was hooked on not only collecting points, but more importantly, flying.  Roll on a few years and with most of Neil's family and friends knowing his addiction to one night stays (yes, he has flown from Europe to the US and back again the same day and no, he didn't say one night stands!), a friend said to him "you should document your trips on that new thing, YouTube".  Neil then sat on the idea for way too many years but did eventually do it

So, in 2019, Moments In The Sky was borne (right before Covid, doh).  Today the YouTube channel boasts more than 2,000 subscribers alongside the Instagram channel where he publishes up to date whereabouts and upcoming trips.  New in 2022, is Neil's website, momentsinthesky.com -  but you already know that because you're here!

If you'd like to support the channel, Neil has a shop where he sells his most popular channel-branded items.  Alternatively, you can support him on Patreon where at the highest tier you'll get these items free!  Or simply book a trip using an affiliate link here on the site - it all helps.
